The team that wins the throw in should have an advantage but is actually at a disadvantage in many cases as they have one less player to fight for the ball after the throw in. This constantly slows the game down.

    Embarrassing take, it’s up to you how you take advantage of a throw in. Possession is retained, there’s the added benefit of you can’t be offside from a throw in, and it free’s up space to be exploited on the opposite side. If you have a long throw specialist you can get the ball in the box and cause chaos without needing a corner or free kick.
