because he’s not supposed to. All Kenny’s been told is to not turn the ball over, which is why we’re seeing so many curls, throws to the flat, and comebackers. Even the go-balls are almost always against single coverage on the boundary. This is a run-first offense, and the game scripts that Tomlin/Canada scheme revolve around running the rock. Hell the only game Kenny’s ever thrown for more than 300 was his first start against the bills when he barely had any first team reps and was playing catchup the entire game.
Point being there are plenty of valid criticisms for his play this year, but his basic stats should be lower down on the list. He hasn’t thrown a pick in the last five games and is currently at the helm of a 6-3 team. we should see how he performs with a competent scheme next year (hopefully) and then judge whether to pick up the fifth year option. Also throwing laterals for screens doesn’t help
Man… all I wanna see at this point is a game where KP’s biggest throws aren’t fucking negated by stupid penalties or inexcusable drops.
The terrible drop on DJ and the penalty on CAIII dramatically altered the flow and feel of this game.
