Most people turned to congratulate Chelsea for the fascinating game, but indeed Manchester City has a few advantages over key decisions. The most apparent controversies were the soft penalty awarded again, and no foul for the handball. Sadly if the standard of refereeing is normal, Chelsea should deserve a win.

Handball outside the box not being called seems to happen almost every game - from the hard to notice to blindingly obvious like Walker, and Saka the other week.

However, with the “soft penalty” Haaland won, no one seems to be talking about the handball by Caicedo (?) In the box immediately beforehand. Why wasn’t it called for that? Granted, he was pushed but if that wasn’t considered a foul then why wasn’t it given as handball?
