I think it rarely makes sense to fire a coach midseason barring exceptional circumstances (such as the circumstances causing us to drop a couple assistants this year). McDaniels was fired because his players essentially rose up against him, Urban Meyer was fired because he was assaulting his players and skipping team flights to dirty dance with college students. That stuff makes sense.
To me, stuff like firing Dorsey doesn’t make sense (unless more info comes out!). He probably isn’t a good OC, but also you’re probably not finding someone better in the middle of the season. It’s really “the team is worse than expected and the fans want blood,” which probably really does give the fans some catharsis but the damage is already done until you get someone better in the offseason.
