I feel it is the way to go, to an extent. The EU forcing Apple to adopt everything that android has would make everything too saturated. iPhone clones would rise to an all time high, and there wouldn’t be many things to differentiate between iOS and android. Though I am quite interested in what others have to say.

Having a unified cable as nothing to do with android, I can still tell the difference between my keyboard and android phone despite both having usb c, and I can still tell the difference between a mac and a windows pc despite both having side loading…
If there is an argument against eu forcing side loading, and there could be, it having to do anything with android, clones or differentiation is not one of those arguments…
