Help me decide please!
I have a PS5, a top tier PC and a Steam Deck. For my birthday my partner wants to buy me an Xbox Series X but I have been feeling like a Legion Go would be better(with me paying the half for it and also sell the SD). I’m eyeing the Legion Go since we both game on the PS5 and it often happens that we both have different games we want to play on the PS5 at the same time.
I don’t often feel like playing on my desktop PC since it’s in a different room where I work too. This sort of makes me jump into work or takes me away from gaming mood.
I got the Steamdeck to deal with this so that I can play something from the gamepass or emulate while she plays on PS5. Now, the thing with Steamdeck is that I’m exclusively using it on windows despite the amazing SteamOS since I’m usually a patient gamer and ready to wait for things to come on PS plus or gamepass. But when I use windows there are few games that feel a bit underwhelming due to the hardware limitations.
This is where I need help, would a Legion Go help me solve give me enough portability with power for at least 2 years?
Do you think the Legion Go would become a regrettable purchase after a few months or after a year?
For context, I’m in Australia where XBSX is A$800, Legion Go Z1 Extreme is A$1500. I usually play connected to power.
Is this true as well for fps games like COD MW3? right now I have the go, think it’s fine, but I continue to find myself drawn to the SD (had for a couple of weeks but sent it back in favor of the big screened Go). I LOVE that everything is optimized for the SD, and even on my Go, I typically play at 800p on balanced or performance settings on all of my games.
COD is the only game that I have that I couldn’t get and run successfully on the SD. But then I thought about remote playing from my son’s new gaming PC and that might be the answer for me to have the SD experience, but still be able to play COD with friends. But I know it’s a game that cannot afford latency.
Yeah sunshine / moonlight I don’t feel the latency, streaming on a competitive fps will always be slower that’s just how it is, but honestly when I stream to my deck I can’t feel any lag it amazes me how smooth and responsive it is
