Wouldn’t have been able to draft Olave,Penning, Alontae and others I’m sure. DA has put us in a horrible position but not nearly as bad if we got Deshaun. We would be:
Even more hated (not that this really matters because screw them)
On the hook for $230,000,000–meaning Loomis would give himself a stroke trying to fix the cap (and even then we’d lose so many guys to FA)
Not be able to draft competent players to fill those guys lost to cap constraints
Assuming Watson’s timeline is the same we’d be starting Jameis Winston or Jake Haener for the rest of the season anyway.
The only silver lining would be maybe DA and PC would be fired. Loomis, too.
