Hope this is the right spot. I tried looking in the FAQ and buyers guide a bit but figured talking with others may be more productive.

I am looking for a new watch- looking more so for function over form. with a price range of $100 or less.

I constantly work outdoors in some remote areas and am looking for something sturdy that it wouldn’t be a big deal getting muddy or other random junk on. I also lifeguard and would appreciate something that I can keep on while in the water and wouldn’t have to worry about damaging.

In the past I’ve found that metal straps are difficult because I have a pretty small wrist and removing the sections is usually a pain.

I’m not sure if there are any other factors that I should think about or consider but would appreciate help from the community thank you.

Salt water, sweat and sun will destroy your G Shock. It did mine. I got a much cheaper 100m Casio W800H, and it’s on sale at Amazon for $15 right now. I won’t be as bummed when the resin case starts to deteriorate. This is my beater beach, yard work, and pool watch. I got these 3 for $120 combined all on sale during the holiday’ over the last 3-4 years. If I got the regular G shock (not solar atomic), combined cost would have been $90. If you take your time shopping and hold out for sales, you might be able to get 3 watches within your $100 budget.
