Honestly, most days I’m agreeing with what Danielle is saying when it comes to finances, but the most recent episode (13/11/23) when Danielle asks Yohan to pay half the rent, plus bills etc. I think was super unfair. She has an American job, which pays American wages. Yohan is/was working for Dominican wages.

When Yohan said if he contributes the same he will have nothing left for himself. And I agree with him (if these facts are true)

In my personal opinion, I think financial contributions should be split by % of income. My partner (33M) contributes more to our household because he earns more. If I (29F) contribute the same, I wouldn’t have any personal savings or extra money for myself. When I was earning more, I was contributing to the household more. It goes both ways…

You know - first of all, didn’t he quit working? Or did he start up something and I missed it? (Totally possible) but -

At this point he is fully aware of what she expects from a partner in terms of financial contributions. If what she is laying out doesn’t work for him, kick rocks.

What she did when coming down - the bait and switch of she’s not really gonna take him to ISA - was complete BS and was wrong. But you’re only a victim for so long. He is volunteering now.

Her too … he has said no nope nada. She needs to just say that’s it I’m done. They both do. Ugh.
