Well, my neighbor has already put up their outdoor Christmas lights, so I guess it’s time to watch Carol of the Bells! Here are my observations:

I always wonder why everyone is at the stadium on Christmas Day. I know they had a half day off, but come on, it’s a holiday, and there’s no game.

1,000 pounds is only a month’s worth of swear words? Phoebe’s university must already be paid for.

John Williams’ Carol of the Bells (during the doorbell-ringing montage) is the absolute best version, imo, and was initially featured in Home Alone

This episode has the first appearance of Roy fixing his knee, and everyone cringing at the crack! I love this recurring joke.

The Higginses use their son’s new surfboard as a table

The nerf prisoners of war being led away blindfolded will never not make me crack up!

How many Greyhounds are at the Higginses party? 13, plus Richard’s date

“Have you been smoking”?

Keely did Phoebe’s hair in the same style as her own!

Roy looks so damn good this season, with his pundit beard, but he’s particularly stunning in this episode, with his dark overcoat.

It’s not specifically mentioned in this episode, but the Higgins kids all have gender neutral names: Lindsay, Kris, Dana, Stevie and Terry.

Great catch! Anyone know Mrs. Higgins’ first name? I’m now wondering if they carried on the “feminine junior” tradition.
