I swear since the first Super Bowl run any time the bengals are unanimously picked as the better team or widely regarded as such they lose.

It happened with the Super Bowl, last year ravens and bills were picked over them in playoffs and once they got past that I remember hearing and I quote “nothing can stop Joe Burrow and the bengals now not even Mahomes” and look what happened. They were regarded as a Super Bowl favourite to start this year (yes I know Joes injury was the main reason they did so bad to start but still), and after 4 straight wins everyone thoughts bengals were unbeatable again and everyone picked them over the Texans.

Not saying it’s a bad thing or a good thing or any indication of what’s to come. I just get bad juju when I see the analyst game predications and they’re all orange.

Anyways bengals over ravens and as always FTS

Well, people wanted the team to get respect and now that they have it, I was happier with them being under the radar.

Take Madden for example. You rarely saw a team using the Bengals in solo battles over 12 months of the lifespan of the game. This year in Madden 24, over 3 months so far, I would say 15-20% of all the solo battles I played against is a team using the Bengals and easily one of the Top 3 teams featured in that game mode.

In the long run it doesn’t mean much. the doomers litter the game thread like the team is a team with the talent of 1991-2002 that have no idea just how bad they were over that 12 year period of time. Those teams complied a record of 55-137. 1 8-8 season and 11 losing seasons. If anything, Marvin Lewis gave this team respect of not being the doormat of the NFL after the 3 coaches before him.

I have no problem with 5-5 after a 1-3 start. Not every year is going to be 12-4 or 13 - 4 and they have been hit by the injury bug far more this season then 2021-2022.
