Just for context Nike makes all the jerseys years in advance (forget how many years but I wanna say 3-4) AND as the NBAs contractor Nike holds more weight in the jerseys rollout than the team
For example, back when we had the elite city editions we went to the playoffs with and we all wanted them as the main home jersey, the next few years were already set by Nike so they couldn’t change anything. While I want these and those old city jerseys to be mainstays I don’t think we’ll get them anytime soon even if they listen to the fanbase. If I remember rightly a reporter said a year or 2 ago that the Pels Org knows and wants the same as the fanbase but Nike is holding everything up like usual because they’ve already got everything set up 😭
