Fortnite on steam deck is incredible when compared to a ps4 and ps5 and xbox series x and s and nintendo switch the game loads faster like when you go in a game like solos or creative map in a couple of seconds like maby 10 to 5 on a ps5 30 sec and switch 40 xbox series x 26 (without quick resume)

with wifi 6E it should be less ping and better fortnite performance (ping laggy nes) and you can get 90 fps like unlock fps to 120 and do some settings i get 80 to 108 fps in fortnite so not 60 anymore now you can have full adventage and oled.
