The tools are HART brand (I like the availability and entry price point) and the bags are the 15" $7 specials from Harbor Freight. I have a second toolkit I keep in the other rear footwell that has regular chrome sockets, wrenches, and other assorted hand tools and safety gear. I’ll do a video on that one next. Don’t forget to pack safety goggles, earplugs, and gloves!

well your toolkit is overkill and only good for tires lol.

    you really should have:

4 hose clamps - large enough to fit a radiator hose but they can also be used to string up a rusted off muffler or crudely hold something together

4 or 10 in one screwdriver

    basic slip pliers

    needle nose pliers

    channel locks

basic 3/8" rachet set metric with some extensions (10mm-18mm)

old flathead for poking and scraping.

set of sae and metric allen keys.

    utility knife with extra blades

    cig lighter air pump.

    jumper cables

    leather work gloves

    wind up flashlight

at least one black garbage bag

the tools all fit in an old metal blowtorch box (maybe 12" wide, 8" deep, 4" tall) and most were sourced from those $1 tool tarps at swap meets or harbor freight

ive had to utilize some of it before or had to help others who were in a pickle in the middle of nowhere. I do maintain my cars and replace stuff before its an issue but sometimes shit happens and its nice to be self sufficient. You run something over that gets wrapped around a driveshaft or caught somewhere under the car youve got pliers where you can cut/pull whatever it is or box knife to slice off whatever you can, ive had those cold asphalt patches get stuck to my tire as i drove over them - nothin like scraping asphalt off a tire and trying to race time before it sets up harder, have had flat tires on wet muddy gravel roads - nice to kneel or lay on a clean dry garbage bag, ive had bolts rattle loose before somehow (maybe forgot to tighten it all the way?) etc.

I have 13 of the 14 items on your list in the other bag that sits in the other rear footwell. I participate in autocross and off road stuff so the impacts get used more than the average person would.
