I’ve rewatched every game (difficult) to try and identify the offenses real issues. Here is my unbiased opinion on who’s responsible. 10% Carr. 10% receivers/te. 40% oline. 40% Carmichael.

Oline, perhaps the worst part of this offense. Not for the sacks or pressures. For the penalties. I wrote down how many penalties they’ve committed in opponents territory where we were unable to convert or settled for 3. 9 penalties in opponents territory/ red zone. This includes when Jameis is in as well, hes made terrible decisions but he seems to be sped up same as carr. Were not built to overcome redzone penalties. We could have 20-50 more points depending on the outcome of those drives.

Pete, the use of 4 verts at terrible times is well documented. Upon rewatch what stuck out is how often we go backwards or gain no yards on first down. We have to ditch the bubble screen. It goes negative 5 times for every one time it works. Hb gut on every other 1st down is so predictable. Let’s try some traps or counters. And for God sakes 3rd or 4th and short should always be hill and never Carr. Also it seems Carr is more comfortable in hurry up/tempo and struggles under center so we should probably play to that.

Carr, is performing in the 12-15 range among QBs, where he’s always been. And that’s how much he’s getting paid. He does miss reads every game and holds the ball too long. But he protects the ball and he’s had some clutch deep throws in a few games. I know he’s had bad games, I watched the games too but there’s like a hundred posts on it.

Receivers, there have been several drops, some for tds. A lot of people would be off the QBs back if he had 3-4 more tds. Don’t site me drop statistics either because those don’t count if the receiver is contacted during the catch even if they should catch it.

We had 12 penalties last game against the Vikings - 9 of those against the O. 7 of those one drives we made (huge) gains.

Then everyone runs and blames either Carr or sb who didn’t commit a penalty.
