I think it’s a little of column A and a little of column B. The only receiver we have who can get separation is Mims and Payton doesn’t seem to trust him, or he’s still rudimentary in running routes that aren’t go balls. The o-line pass pro was pretty pitiful Monday. Zero blitzes at game end aside, Russ didn’t have time to wait for our non-separation receivers to get open. He also made some poor throws – the Sutton fumble in particular. And Payton studied the Bills D and game planned accordingly. Let’s take our W, our mostly mistake free QB play on the night, and saddle up for the Vikes.
