It’s 81 more games to go. The first game of the season does not define how the season will go. This is not a sprint. It’s a marathon. You have to remember that Orlando was home and it was their home opener. We start the first 2 games on the road. Don’t be surprised if we lose to the Spurs either. We Then we got 7 straight home games. Stop bitching about one game.

Its not about the final score game, its how awful jalen looks at the start of his all important year 3 leap. In fact all the top picks of the rox these tanking years looked truly awful. From amens broken shot, to both jabari and jalen looking like complete and utter busts. At least amen has an excuse, heck even bari we can use the jeremy pena sophomore slump excuse…but whats jalens excuse for looking like he jus made his nba debut?

Fans are so impatient and unrealistic. Doesn’t mean there’s no concern but it means we have to acknowledge the new coach, team, system, and time it takes to get better. Magic also had a few guys with great games and exposed some of our lack of engagement defensively. Our young guys in Jalen, Jabari, and Amen were also overly eager and couldn’t hit. It will take time.

    Year 2 stats:
    Jalen- 22ppg on 54% ts
    Booker- 22ppg on 53% ts

    Game 1 in year 3:
    Jalen- 10pts in a 30pt loss
    Booker- 12pts in a 48pt loss

GREEN IS COOKED. WASTED PICK. BUST.

im tired of this comp. the league average in booker’s rookie/second year was around 54%. the league average in jalen’s second year was 58%. jalen is much lower/farther than booker was away

I went ahead and reviewed our off-season transactions prior as I generally do not take heed of any rox chat during Astros season…

As far as our roster goes, the transactions that stood out, that will change our brand of ball from last year:

    • no more beating on spouses;
    • brought in amen

Thus solidifying a roster that appear to have only a prayer’s shot of beating anyone

There is no identity or team culture right now, like at all.

Right now it seems like everyone go out there play ISO ball, they are not optimizing each other strength. Looks like everyone just wanna build their stats.

Hopefully Ime can fix some of that … fast.

By the way, to continue the positive vibes, the Rockets have 25 games before Christmas. Here are some of the highlights:

    3 games against Denver

    3 games against the Lakers

    2 games against Sacramento

    2 games against Golden State

    2 games against Dallas

    2 games against New Orleans

1 game each against the Clippers, Milwaukee, and Cleveland.

Holy fuck. I don’t see the Rockets being any better than 5-20 or 6-19. Their season could be over before the new year

A game came to mind from long ago. After the Mavs with Dirk won the title, in game one they lost by 40 with essentially the same team. Game one doesn’t always mean a whole lot they just haven’t figured it out as a unit yet

Sports are fun and entertainment, for me at least. I don’t apply logic and real life reasoning with sports. We win a game it’s celebration time if we lose the sky is falling. That’s how I fan. I leave the seriousness for real life problems.

I will support the Rockets no matter what even if I overreact to one loss.
