Basically just the title… as a spurs fan we’ve pretty much been spoiled going to the playoffs year after year and I understand it’s going to take some time but I’m pretty sure I don’t actually realize the amount of time it takes into rebuilding a team lol. I’ve understood from the beginning that we were not going anywhere this year but damn we just got wrecked by the thunder and the past few games have been something else…

    I’d say usually 3-5 years If you have a competent GM. Couple of strong draft picks and a good trade or two will do it.

    Problem is not every GM is competent

    i think you could compare the spurs with the lebron cavs

    year prior: 17-65

    first year: 35-47

    second year: 42-40

    third year: 50-32

    so the spurs were a slightly better 22-60 team but lebron was also better than wemby at this stage

    so instead of an 18 jump, expect the smaller jump, but the same result, in 3 years you should be among the top of the west barring no injuries ofc.
