Shout out Melt man big stepper tonite preventing Indy from running away with it. Caruso crowd, we have Caruso at home already and he’s 4 years younger and has cost way less than what y’all think Alex is worth.

He still needs to stop thinking he can make contested layups.

I was pleased when Indy kept fouling him. Apparently they have more faith in his ability to make a layup than I do.

Melton is not on the same planet as Caruso defensively. Caruso might be the best perimeter defender in the league and Melton hustles and is good in the passing lanes but regularly gets cooked 1 on 1.

Grizzlies fans also warned us about Melton’s playoff performances, and he’s a 37%, 31& 70% shooter in the post season. Caruso has already shown what he can do in a championship run on both ends and is a more capable ball handler in Maxey’s absence.

Melton is also a free agent this off-season and will demand more than Caruso is currently on (9 million), there simply isn’t an argument for Melton being comparable to Caruso, and I personally would try to include Melton in a trade to avoid renewal in the off-season.
