People will end a game with 10k damage and 8 elims and tell me the other guy was worse because he only did 8k with 24 elims. If you want to brag about your dope damage, understand that it has a correlating scoreboard stat. Heals get away with a lot because they don’t have some sort of “teammates saved” stat, but you’re guilty of big number-ism too.
If you’re numbers are big, but you’re getting your cheeks clapped, consider alternatives to screaming numbers like a Soviet sleeper agent.
I agree, high damage with low elims hurts your team more than almost anything else someone could do.
All they’re doing is giving the other team ult charge for free, putting themselves in a worse position as the game goes on
Not really true I give you example. You are defending midtown second point as Ashe on bridge, shooting from high ground. Enemy zarya uses bubble to gain energy you are hitscan not shooting her. After bubble you hit 2 headshots on her she uses second bubble to run away. Now she has 0 bubbles low health and doesn’t have any energy. She will be unable to push high ground or payload for next 30 seconds. Mean time you throw dynamite and hit 3 people they will hide for duration of it and wait for heal doing nothing for 10 seconds. You are gaining you ult in mean time to use it for team wipe. So damage is good, kills are better true but if you can maintain high pressure on enemy team WITHOUT DYING they are unable to push objective losing so much important time.
