I think that the take away here is that football transfer fees are out of control and that we should all termper our spending expectations a bit. This much expenditure is not sustainable for Arsenal FC over the long term.

It’s weird how Liverpool had 110million to spend but didn’t buy a DM, imagine them with someone like Rice.
It’s also weird how we wasted 65m on Kai Havertz who’s only good performances have been doing Fellaini impersonations, imagine us with Szbosolai instead.
Both teams are 1 point below City currently but it feels like if either us or them had addressed those positions properly either could be walking the league.
When you consider that Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern and Man City all had the means to sign this guy, and yet he chose Arsenal, it makes you feel even better about the signing.

Seen the audio for man utd’s disallowed goal against Fulham.
The refs make a big deal in that one of saying its a subjective decision and calling for offside because they think maguire interferes with the play.
Whereas in the Newcastle goal they state that the decision is subjective so they can’t interfere, and therefore side with the on-field decision without checking properly.
Where is the fucking consistency? The refs have utterly ruined this game
I’m really struggling to see how the Douglas Luiz transfer is even possible. Villa are gonna put like a 90mil price tag on him. The only way possible is if he forces his way out like Trossard did. Even then Villa can still play hardball. The Neves loan rumour makes more sense.
