For a few days one of the rear windows on my 2019 GLC would go down when controlled from the front, but would not go up from the front control. So if (while I was driving) I accidentally wound the rear window down, I’d have to use the rear door (where the window is) to wind it up.

I meant to get this looked at this weekend, unfortunately - now it won’t wind up from the back either, so it’s stuck down - since no control is capable of winding it up. I suspect the back has stopped working because of the child-lock, though. Which seems to be a second issue.

Obviously (obviously) God discovered my window was stuck down and sent terrential rain for the lols, so currently taped up with bags on it!

I will take it somewhere for the proper fix, since I assume it needs a proper car electrician - but in the meantime I just need the window up.

I just took the door panel off to check on any obvious loose connections or at least a manual way of putting the window up but nothing obvious and I can’t see a way to manually override the motor?

I noticed the child-lock is stuck on in the front, that doesn’t look right.

Things I’ve tried:

- Checked all related fuses

- Checked the front can still control the rear window (it can - I can hear the motor clicking as I try to wind it down from the front)

- Opened the panel to check for loose wiring

Questions:

- Why would this only wind down from the front and not wind up?

- Stupid question - the child-lock shouldn’t be permanently lit up, correct? How can I disengage that to turn it off so that I can put the window up from the rear again?

- With the rear door panel off, is there a way to manually wind the window up?

I REALLY appreciate any help with this, I really need to get out in the car for a few reasons today but it’s not safe like this.
