Cade Cunningham is averaging 21.3/3.6/7.3 with 40.2/29.7/87.5 percentages and 5 turnovers per game.

He’s not looking great so far. On one hand, the spacing around him is bad. Ausar and Hayes aren’t shooters. Duren can’t shoot either. Isaiah Stewart can hit threes decently. Bogdanovic is injured.

On the other hand, a franchise level player candidate has to play better even without not-so-optimal pieces.

I do have level of concern with Cade. Is he the certified franchise player that you have to build around him? Or Cade is a great complementary player around the needle mover?

What do you think?

neither? He is literally one of the worst players in the NBA at the moment, and I don’t know how he improves other than getting better at literally every aspect of his game

It’s a sport, not fairy-tale. You can keep your hopes/fan-fic high, but don’t expect me to play along.

If he had studs like Bey and Whitmore, franchise player. With what he has around him now, good player on a team with players that won’t be around in 5-7 years time.
