That said, it is surprising that he never pulled it out - I’d actually argue that most of the time, more so than Federer/Djoko/court speed etc, his main issue at the Tour Finals was injuries. Wear and tear from the year combined more often than to mean he wasn’t tip top by the end. That meant he could be picked off, especially in a Bo3 format.

I also wish thiem was able to win a tour final. His matches against Djokovic in 2019/2020 were insane. Wish he could have won one of them
