I think it would be quite fun if LoL had international tournament at some point in the year that had the same kind of vibe as like the Europa League or Conference league:

Not the best teams from each region but some of the good ones that might not make worlds, would be great for fans of teams that aren’t expected to do well, more international practice for every region more money to be made from even more sponsorship deals, getting to see more international match ups that we’d miss out on because they might not make worlds or msi.

I obviously understand its not that simple and there would need to be a significant reward for the team that wins it but not soo significant it overrules the regular season, was thinking like the winning team automatically qualifies the gauntlet for worlds in their respective region or something like that.

would’ve been fun to see something like spring astralis against sandbox or HLE
