I couldnt see it before, but I have been enlightened by the anime foxgirl. I now can see thather being 21 compared to Genjis 37 makes so much sense!

According to Kiriko, she remembers Genji having a bowlcut. Genji does not deny this, but insists it was to match Kirikos bowlcut, that she does deny having.

But when you remember she would be literally less than a year old when Genji was a teenager training with her mom, it all adds up. Since Kiriko obviously has a photographic memory she can remember seeing his bowl cut even while she was too young to eat food that wasnt pre-mushed. But she also lacked object permanence, and thus cannot recall her own hair.

So you see, what seems like a massive contradiction of canon that was made by a writing team who doesnt understand the lore theyve taken over, actually is a very subtle clue that Kiriko has perfect memory. I expect in Overwatch 3 when she is reworked, she will get a new ability to reflect this that lets her perfectly copy whatever ability was just used by an enemy. And also give her a bike, that we Kiriko mains have been begging for since launch.
