A friend of mine wants to start a business in personal training space. He already has paid clients and regulars. Now he wants me to setup his own website, plus seo, social media accounts. Basically an internet presence package.

He’s asking me to help and actually asked me for a price. I want to help him but also want to set expectation that I want to get paid fairly without obviously overpricing myself.

How should I setup a simple price model for him? Should I give an upfront price e.g you pay me X, and Ill set up this? Should I ask him for monthly pay? E.g pay me 1k per month until it’s finished.

Should I ask even for both? Upfront X, plus a monthly fee to maintain website.

Alternatively he was also suggesting for every client that I got online via this website I’ll get a signup fee?

Thoughts? Im completely new to this space given I’m a full time employee

The easiest is estimate the time of each line item, and apply an hourly rate; then apply a discount for friendship
