I think one of the most frustrating parts of watching the clippers last year was feeling like the team genuinely didn’t care most nights. They were playing on autopilot, just moving through the motions.
We dominated the Blazers yesterday, and while they may very well end up being the worst team in the west, the most exciting part of last night was our intensity; running HARD on the break, crashing boards, and way more cutting and off ball movement.
Is it too early to call westbrook the leader of this team? He’s clearly bringing the energy every time down the court, and players are willing to move around off ball since he’s such an elite play maker who can get his teammates shots. Dominating a weak opponent like the Blazers might not be the biggest victory in the world, but with habits like these we should be competitive every game
Last year, the Clippers would have squeaked that win out. Scoot would have had an amazing debut. The young Blazers would have flashed their athleticism and the Clippers would look old. PG probably has 3-4 ridiculous turnovers while Kawhi has 6 points on 3 shots. Down by 10 in the middle to late third quarter, Kawhi finally decides to turn in on and spams iso until the Clippers inevitably win by 3, only because Scoot misses a game tying three.
Ridiculously accurate. We had so many games like that
