I don’t understand the TDP slider of the deck. If I want to push more battery life out of my deck then why not just limit the FPS and panel to say 40fps and Hz instead of reducing TDP? Would that not be a more consistent gaming experience? Would limiting the FPS also just not result in the deck draining less power and using for example 10w instead of 15 in a given game?

    Watching various YouTubers testing their OLED review units and comparing to the LCD version, you can get around an HOUR of extra battery life minimum by setting the FPS to like 40 and adjusting the TPD to the correct setting. Some 2D games you can get away with less then 10W and still get good frame-rates. Look up videos on YouTube that are doing comparisons between the LCD and OLED units as well as performance at different settings.
