I just hate how there’s so much doubt suddenly. It goes from Niners look like no one can stop them to suddenly they look vulnerable. I truly believe this tough patch is exactly what we need to toughen up and realize its not gonna be handed to us.
I’d rather them experience bad times now than later. If the trend continues at full strength then I’ll be worried but for now it seems like injuries and bad weeks just like any other team goes through.
It’s just how the season rolls. 17 games is a long long time and there’s ebs and flows.
Cleveland was some stupid weather and dealing with injuries, minnesota is still injuries and poor defense.
Who knows what it’ll be next time, As long as we learn from them and take that and apply it in Jan/Feb
It’s not that complicated.
MINNESOTA —
- Couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down
- Fumble in opponent red zone
- missed FG
- An unlucky INT goes through mooney ward’s hands and bad defensive play call late in 2nd half lead to TD before halftime
Cleveland —
- 2 missed FGs
- Red zone fumble takes points off the board.
- bad weather
- unlucky bad calls on PJ Walker throw that probably should have been fumble and illegal hit that was pretty clear on replay was not that kept drive alive.
- No Deebo or mccaffrey for big chunk of game and Williams on one leg.
Niners have won by double digit points in most of their games and lost by a posession in the other two. Everyone needs to chill. Also if the team loses this week on short rest and a team coming in off a bye week, that’s ok too. I think this team will win most of its games when it doesn’t have costly turnovers and injuries.
I think their defense is the biggest concern. They generally have some struggles in September and October, and Saleh and Demeco both had points where fans were saying they needed to be fired asap. The question is if Wilks and the defense will eventually get in sync in the next few weeks, or if its a lingering problem all season. Even if they make a trade for some huge star, they still need to fix their in house issues first.
Otherwise, I think they’re fine. Brock getting concussed seems pretty tied to him throwing the 2 INTs vs Min, and they absolutely need to keep him healthy. They also are almost definitely going to get someone with all the cap room they have. Might not be a huge star, but hopefully its someone closer to Emmanuel Sanders level.
