I bought a used steam deck and tried to do an SSD replacement. I accidentally punctured the ZIF/ribbon cables connecting the motherboard to the controls.

I thought, no biggie. I contacted Valve to see if I can order some replacement cables. I thought it shouldn’t be more than 10 dollars.

Turns out they didn’t want to sell me or ship me it, and wanted 110 dollars for an RMA center to repair it. iFixIt doesnt list it either.

I bought some off Amazon that had the right pitch and connection, but those melted immediately.

Can anyone help a stranger out?
