I came back to the game after a year-long hiatus. I started playing ranked because it is rewarding to play to enjoy the game mentally and mechanically, while also working towards a goal.
I don’t have much time to play, so often I can only set aside 1 hour per day to play. Taking into account how long a game can take, I’d normally expect to play one or two if I’m very lucky, but holy… the amount of dodging and remakes is insane. It feels like I’m guaranteed to be in a lobby at least three times before actually getting something done.
I’m currently Gold, which if I understand correctly based on the division changes, is where the vast majority of the population will be. If this is my experience here, I can’t imagine how it is at higher ranks.
Is this really the best league can offer? Do you believe this is a problem or that thinks are okay as they stand? Why do you think people refuse to play so often? Any thoughts on how to address this sort of behavior or make the experience better?
I can’t imagine people would genuinely like to spend 10-20 minutes waiting for a game to start, and that’s nothing compared with wait times in high elo.
It is better to just dodge and wait 5 minutes then suffer in lost game for 20 minutes and lose lp
today I dodged a game, I was auto filled, my top laner asked if he could jungle, my jungler said no so my top laner locked draven top and said good luck. (:
Surely I shouldnt dodge when my support last picks Sona into a samira + nautilus. Surely the -5 LP and -5mins is worse than -27lp and -40mins.
If a teammate picks Yuumi JG in champ select people would view that as a waste of time and LP. When you play ranked you want to play with people who want to win because you plan on climbing so the best case scenario would be to dodge that game and go into a different one hoping a different result instead of wasting time and giving lp away.
