Okay so that title is kind of a lie but i’m very upset. I bought a $1600 computer and I can barely run spiderman remastered, it stuters constantly. I have had this computer since 2020 or 2021 I don’t remember but I feel like I should be able to run minecraft modpacks without worrying they are going to lag to much. Granted I am very much dumb when it comes to PC’s so maybe i’m completely missing something, could anyone help?

My specs:

Processor: Intel Core i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz

Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

operating system: Windows 11

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

again i have no clue what im talking about so please dont make fun of me i just wanna be able to play games.

Why does it say 15.8 GB usable? Does it have onboard graphics as well? Is the monitor plugged into the gfx card or the motherboard?

Genuinely it sounds like something is defective or user error. You should be fine with those specs

    Not 4k120 but 1080 60

thank you to the people who chimed in with good advice sorry i havent been active in the comments some of them have really been making me feel like a idiot which i get that i am but i was just asking for help. I made a mistake in my original post i didnt pay 1600 i paid 12 to 1300. To the people commenting about overpaying, i got it the first time i dont need to hear it for the 700th time and i cant go back in time. I frankly am not certain on the specifics of my issue for the people asking the game will run at 60 for 5 seconds and then freeze for a second and then resume, rinse and repeat. I will use some of the suggested stuff that is genuinely helpful. didnt expect this to get so much attention.
