Nephew bought a jeep that won’t charge. I bought a voltage regulator and connected it to the alt and ground, for testing purposes I had it connected directly to the battery. But the voltage was still dropped after I jumped it. While jumping it, it runs perfect, voltage stays within range. So for some reason, the alt isn’t powering the battery, and I can’t get to the cables underneath the battery box. So I was wondering if I can hook up a 4g wire directly from the alt to the battery for testing, or is that dangerous
