Got a bit of a dilemma. I got a 2001 Tacoma Pre Runner dual cab 4 cylinder with about 270,000 miles on it. To be honest, it’s been somewhat abused. It’s running and I’ve taken care of all the major maintenance items, but the suspension/control arms/ball joints are all original and the engine does leak some oil. Cosmetically, it’s not the best. there is a noticeable dent toward the back of the truck, peeling paint toward the back as well and it’s overall not a “Clean” example.

I’m trying to decide if I should spend a couple grand to do all the suspension work and a couple other smaller items or if I should just cut my loses and sell it off as is. It’s been a good truck to me and I still get a lot of use out of it. But I also want to be careful about dumping money into it at this amount of miles. It’s at the point where I either need to start fixing stuff or just sell it off.

So TL;DR, I’m curious what these types of Tacomas would go for in this condition vs. maybe a bit more of a fixed up condition at this milage.
