My work laptop is a 2022 HP with USB-C ports and I use a USB-C dock that has 2x HDMI and 4x USB-A ports to connect my two monitors, mouse, and keyboard to it. Works flawlessly. I am now trying to connect my personal laptop to the same dock. It’s a 2014 Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro running Windows 10.
It only has USB-A ports, so I am using an adapter to connect the USB-C dock to the laptop. I know the connection is working because it’s picking up my mouse and keyboard connected through the dock, but it is not recognizing my monitors.
What settings might need to be adjusted here to get my laptop to recognize two monitors connected to the dock via HDMI and then the dock to the computer via USB through a USB-C adapter? Or am I SOL due to the age of the laptop running Windows 10 not being able to pass video through to USB-C?
