It does look like he’s capping but Kobe was hot that year. I don’t think anyone in particular prior to the game (on the record) thought Kobe could hit 70 or more. But it was a matter time since scoring 20 points in a quarter was seemingly easy for Kobe. It was just a matter of time he would have at least one game averaging 20 a quarter. Looking back, Kobe shot nearly 15-20 free throws at the charity stripe.

Who knows? Those were the golden years and I am super happy I witnessed it on live on TV. It was incredible. Crazy to think Lebron was at home watching it on tv, as well.
