Hi fellow de-gens,

Are you 3-7? Are we ~6 teams of 12 make playoffs but you’re in 10th place with everyone else 5-5 or better? Do you need 5 teams to lose out just for you to have a shot on cumulative tie breaker?

How are we handling a must-win for the next 7 weeks? Every week essentially a playoff game? Are we blasting our final faab? Are we tanking because we’re in a keeper or reverse results draft order? Or are we fighting til the last second grasping for oxygen as the titanic slowly fills up with water, while the band continues to play? Praying for a tie between two other bubble teams so you can leapfrog?

It’s not entirely inconceivable, it’s been done, but with schedules falling the way they are, certain matchups where one of the teams HAS to win, essentially eliminating you?

PLEASE TALK ME OFF THE LEDGE !!

Was 1-7 lol then won last 2 weeks to go 3-7. Week 9’s win I won 145-138 thanks to Stroud’s 41 point banger. Ekeler was huge with 2 tuddies too.

Last week’s win was a lucky one. It made up for some of the weeks where I was hit with the worst luck (guys having best games of the season types… fluky 60+ yard TDs… even Henry throwing a TD lol and defenses slashing NE two weeks in a row against me… of course it happened to me)

My opponent last week was on vacation and had Kelce and Waddle (bye) in his starting lineup. He left Aiyuk, Deebo and even Sutton (Monday night game) on his bench. I won by 11. Those 3 WRs scored 12.3-13.9 each. Which means if he played any one of them, I would have been 2-8 and out of the playoffs lol. He flew back in town Monday night and didn’t see it until it was too late to insert Sutton.

I just need to go 4-0 and there are a few vulnerable 5-5 teams near that 6th seed. Oddly, I have a good feeling. And if I come short? Then hopefully I finish 7 or 8th for consolation bowl bye week

I was 0-7 now I’m 3-7 and legit have the best team in our league due to great waiver wire pickups and trades.

Sadly it looks like several teams will finish 7-7 so I’ll probably not make the playoffs even if I win out.

Of course, I will probably lose by 20 this week.

I’m up to 3-7 after losing the first 7 weeks. The problem is there’s a few stinker teams at 1-9 and 0-10 so there’s more 6-4 teams than 5-5’s. I think to make it I still need to hope for the top teams to win out and drop some of the 6-4’s to a negative record

Imagine this is the norm avg fantasy pts for Noah Brown for ROS and you win out and make it to the finals. You just need that one player to put you over the top for ROS.

Highest points against and like 5th in points for. I have 0 hope. I have gone up against the top 3 scorer 6 times and each time I was like 4th in scoring it’s just be incredibly unlucky. I give up lol.

My league has introduce a new rule that top 2 in each conference make the playoff regardless of record. The three guys vying for that coveted final playoff spot with 2-8 records are getting read for battle

Despite clearly not being fair it has kept the season really competitive, almost everyone still has a chance to make or miss the playoffs

OP - got a question for you… how flexible are you with your team right now as the trade deadline approaches?

A league mate is 3-7 and 2nd to last in our 8-team league. He has Ekeler, James Cook, and Zach Moss (so not a great RB group). I tabled an offer of Monty and Breece for Ekeler which I think is pretty fair and gives him a shot at two good backs to make up for missing points with Moss or Cook. He’s hesitant but too much hesitation is going to cost him the playoffs. I have ETN, Jacobs and want to add Ekeler for my playoff run instead of Breece or Monty.

Just wanted to get your thoughts. Giving up big pieces is tough, but you gotta make some moves to try and get in
