When I was 16 I bought that MacBook and I put a bunch of random stickers on it. I took them off today and they left this residue… how can I get it off without damaging the finish?

Rule Nb 1: NEVER EVER use stickers on a computer

Any adhesive remover should at least partially do the trick but even if the residue is gone it will most likely leave discolorations in the shape of the stickers.

Get a microfiber cloth and poor 95% rubbing alcohol on it, and scrub the area really well. It should come off

I had someone interested in buying it for $300… I just informed them of this and now they are offering $200 for it. What would you pay with this damage?

It’s a 2018 dual core i5, 8gb ram, 128gb ssd…. (Very first MacBook Air remodel from that olllld design. It’s the base model)
