“It’s like he was put on this planet to play QB in the NFL.”

The folk lore has gone religious.

It seems crazy to me that there are only 10? really good NFL quarterbacks on the planet.

It definitely is one of the most difficult things to do in all of sports but there just has to be more people on the planet that can do the job well.

I feel like if more people got the opportunity to play QB in the NFL we would discover more really good NFL QBs. It’s just unfortunate that there are only 32 jobs to start the year and scouts/GMs are really bad at identifying who will be a good QB before they get multiple years experience playing the position at the NFL level.

People have a skewed perception of “an average NFL QB” because guys like Brady, Manning, Brees, Rivers, Rodgers, Big Ben have such long playing careers. We’re talking guys who were drafted in late 90s to mid 00s playing well into mid 10s and early 20s

The reality is that an average starting NFL QB isn’t QB16 in any given year, it’s the average of all starting QBs over the past decade.

QBs who “bust” and don’t get another starting contract or bounce around are closer to average than most people are willing to give them credit for.

How cool would it be to have a really nice backup for 2 years that we trade to the Raiders in two years for a 1st round pick?

Well, let’s put it this way.

Guys coming from way outta nowhere to become good NFL QBs are about as common as guys looking like butt well into their third year and then becoming great QBs. So, pick your poison I guess.

Bagent and the run game will edge the ball down the field. It’s really up to the defence to get the Chargers off the field as much as they can.

Defence is key to winning this game.
