This seems like such a big missed opportunity for the league to add extra spice to the tournament. I personally love watching the Knicks on Christmas day and normally spend most of the day watching basketball and chopping it up with my brother. This would give all the teams a fair shot of playing on the national stage and add significance to the tournament for players and fans. For many casuals, Christmas marks the beginning of the NBA season. It lines up pretty well with 4 total first round games for them to spread throughout the day. They could then schedule the final to be on New Years Day. I guess the counter-argument is that the NBA does so well, ratings wise, on Christmas that it doesn’t make sense for them take away that day. What does the community think?
