I have a 2007 13" white MacBook 2,1 running 10.6.8. I’m considering passing it along to a nephew, but it doesn’t seem able to handle the modern SSL requirements of websites. It doesn’t seem like updating to 10.7 would fix that, and I can’t find browser updates that will run on the hardware or OS. Am I SOL on passing it along with OSX on it? Should I put linux on it? Or am I missing something simple here? Thanks for any ideas!
