As a Bears fan, actually as a fan of the NFL ignore Steven Ruiz. He’s a hack and when some were calling him out on these rankings a while ago he said it was a bit in his defense. Lmao

I could just point you in the direction of Mayfield’s blurb, and about 90 percent of what I said there would also apply here. Howell is an uncomfortable pocket passer who does his best work out of structure. The only problem is that he’s not all that effective out of structure compared to some of the more talented quarterbacks. Howell’s urgency to get outside the pocket causes him to miss opportunities downfield. And he isn’t making enough plays to justify such a reckless approach. His ceiling as a starter will be dictated by how much restraint he can show this season. If Howell plays to his ability, he has just enough throwing talent and athleticism to stick around as a starter. If he insists on being an irrationally confident playmaker, this won’t work.

Sam Howell leads the league in passing yards

Wow this is shockingly bad. Not just for Sam, but the descriptions read like Pitchfork music reviews.
