At least our ownership didn’t make the Deshaun Watson trade. I don’t think I’d have been able to stomach rooting for the team anymore if they had. Not only is he a predatory piece of shit but he’s not played much, and when he has it’s not impressive. Cleveland sold their future (and their soul) for nothing.

Russ, on the other hand, despite having issues last year and maybe not actually playing as good as his stats say this year, is a Walter Payton man of the year and an all around good (maybe corny) guy. A great role model for young fans to look up to. I’d take him any day of the week over Watson, even if Watson was playing lights out elite.

And now the team has Payton at the helm, looks to be turning it around in all 3 phases, and is in a roll.

So no matter what happens with Russ this season and beyond, I love this team and let’s fucking ride, Broncos Country.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I’m out of the loop with regards to Watson’s legal issues.

    How come he wasn’t imprisoned?

Long time Russ fan. I live mostly overseas (from Cambodia originally m), but became a Russ fan because when visiting Seattle during his rookie year with a cousin, my cousin took me to one of their practice sessions. Russ stuck around after practice (when all the other players left), and signed every kids autograph book and even my UC Irvine baseball cap (it was the only thing I had to sign). I was slightly stoked even though I didn’t know who he was (had stopped watching American football after college). But it left a lasting impression on me, and when I moved back to Asia, I would increasingly follow Seahawks game online.

I ended up becoming a diehard Seahawks fan, and when he moved to Denver, I decided to become a broncos fan. (I’ve never lived in Seattle and have no connection to that city). I’ve had him sign the same hat on 4 different occasions now (two more from practices, and then the pro bowl in Las vegas). The second time he signed it, I asked him to sign the year, so I’ve got his signature four times (three with the year) on the same hat now. He said he remembered me when he saw my hat at the pro bowl.

Is it corny AF? Yup! But so is he, so it’s all good.

I think it’s totally fine to follow players from team to team, especially if they are the one that got you into the sport! I’m super happy to have Russ both for his off the field attributes and his on the field play. The improvisation and running is something I’ve been dying to see from a Broncos QB.

Yeah, oddly I’m also a Kawhi fan since I saw him play in high school (same league). I’ve followed him from SA to Toronto to the Clippers, and I never thought in my life I’d follow the clippers, but here I am subscribing to Bally’s sports to watch Clippers game on occasion haha. (And I dislike harden haha)

I hope he can just stay healthy, but at the end of the day, but I don’t think anyone is getting past the Nuggets and the cheat code named Jokic. That team is incredible, and I’m thrilled they won the chip last season.
