Banton is a far more useful player than Pritchard. PP provides absolutely nothing on offense when his 3s aren’t falling. He doesn’t have the size or burst to get by defenders and he’s not hitting C&S 3s so we’re playing 5v4 out there with him on the court on both ends of the court. Banton provides the size and length to hold his own defensively and is actually good at getting into the paint and collapsing the defense and making quick decision in there, like an actual PG should.

PPs game is pretty solid atm. Even without his shot landing, he’s making an impact at both ends. He needs reps and time with the starters to continue developing

Pritchard has been really great at rebounding and pushing the pace. Probably the best on our team this season.
He’s also playmaking a lot more and rarely turning the ball over. As u/gavalant said, he leads the team in assists per36 and comfortably has the best assist/turnover ratio on the team (almost doubling 2nd place).

You skip over the defensive criticisms but I’d assume a lot of your complaints are height-based, because his actual defense has been really good.
People still haven’t caught onto the fact we’re using Pritchard as a defensive weapon. Pay attention to the full-court press we run every time Pritchard and Holiday share the court. Those two have spearheaded the massive improvements to ball pressure we’ve seen this season, which was a big issue for us last season and especially last post-season.
Pp took his man off the dribble last game and got a layup. He’s been making some good passes in the p&r throughout the season too. I see minor improvements from him. You’ll have to be patient, cuz he’s not going anywhere.
Banton has good size and makes good cuts. Good rebounder, although PP probably fights just as hard there. Banton has some flaws though. He can’t shoot and his handle is dicey. He’s not really a PG. Neither is Pritch I guess, but Pritch can protect the ball. Banton has good moments but he probably shouldn’t have the ball in his hands for too long.
Lmao I’m far from the biggest PP fan but if you put in Banton, he’s not (and better hope not) gonna be the PG. It’s gotta be JT or White.
