They complain so much about CPU performance, comparing every Snapdragon chip to the Apple A17 bla bla bla. In the real world, who uses these much power in a chip anyway? Heck, even midrange chips nowadays are very much capable.

Watch the heavy workload battle by “in depth tech reviews” on youtube. It’s a more practical, real-world comparison between S23U/15PM/Pixel 8 (there’s another vid with 14PM & pixel 7 as well).

And the S23U absolutely claps the iPhone. Really put the holier-than-thou A16/A17 in its place.

To your point though, power users often multitask with 3 or more apps. Heavy gamers use emulators. Both of these can actually cause even flagship processors to sweat. In that respect, the S23U & Z5 are the most powerful phones ever made.

I remember back in the day all I’d hear about was about quad core this or that from the Snapdragon side and the benchmarks. Turn tables they have since

Well, if samsung really wanted to push samsung Dex, having a chip that is comparable to actual laptop cpu would be advantages.
