Anyone else now joining the club? I had wanted the SteamDeck but never ended up getting one, and decided to get one for Holiday’s this year. I was going to buy regardless but was glad Valve came out with the OLED in time before I ordered.
I’m beyond excited to nerd out with this thing, both playing games and tinkering with the device. Part of my reason to get one is that this community and Valve has shown such great dedication to making this device take-off and stay relevant.
Got mine 30 minutes after release. I can’t use it until Xmas but I’m still excited.
I just ordered mine today!! After getting sober I’ve put all the money I would have spent on alcohol, into savings for a Steamdeck. I finally made my goal today. A kind person on Reddit sent me a bunch of awesome games they had from Humble Bundles, that they weren’t going to use. So I already have a backlog.
I’m beyond excited.
Same, wanted a steam deck before it released but was a broke college student. I ordered one today and I am so excited to play.
I have to wait 2-4 weeks but yeah my first deck! Can’t wait
I was on the Edge for buying a SD for a while now. After Valve announced the Release of the OLED Model and the comparison Video from Gamers Nexus i was sold on the Spot.
It was a bumpy adventure to Go through the purchasing process Last night, But i managed to get my 1tb OLED SD in the end and i am super excited about it.
Can’t wait to Play my Games on the SD and to fiddle around with emulation.
turn the console on, pick up a demanding game, sniff the vent
I’m new too, I was holding off buying to see if any black Friday deals came up, and low and behold the oled version arrives, perfect timing
I ordered one on monday or tuesday, and should arrive on next tuesday and I am super excited. Can’t wait to get a hold on it. 🤗
Same here. I’ve always been a console person, but have been feeling like I’m missing out re: PC. I wanted to finally jump in, but the time’s not right to build a $3k-$4k PC that I know I’d end up trying to build. Lol. So I figured I’d go for the Steam Deck. It looks like a pretty good way to get in. I’m really excited. 1tb OLED here.
Just purchased my first Steam Game, too. Goat Simulator. 😂 Looking forward to trying a lot of other stuff I’ve been missing out on as well, like mods.
I might have got one around this time anyways but the OLED definitely put the SD on my radar.
Tbh all I want is to play the games I have on my Switch but have the customization of a PC. Skyrim is a good one. About 30 fps and sub 720p on Switch. On SD, I can get whatever FPS I want based on settings and get mods.
Same goes for simpler games like platformers or roguelike games. SD OLED, I can play at 90 fps in those and the selection on PC is a lot wider.
