Excellent article on the one that got away. Interesting insights on the influence that Ray Lewis has had on Smith (especially given that Lewis learned a lot of the mental game prep from former Bear Mike Singletary) and how Roquan is now being viewed as a Ray Lewis presence on the current Baltimore D. I remember being upset about the Bears trading Wilbur Marshall (knowing that he still had a lot left in the tank) but this feels like a much larger loss. Don’t get me wrong, I 100% understand why he did not want to stay and am happy he’s achieving both success and acknowledgements.
