What age do you think Tyler Lockett will retire? Looking at a guy like Fitzgerald who played like 16 season, is it realistic for Tyler to play that long?
Lockett is excellent at protecting himself and can play for several more years…But I thought the same about angry Doug as well until injuries cut short his career 😕
Could see him play 5 more years or 2 more years. Truly think we won’t know until he feels ready to retire
He’s already talked about retirement. Last week he said he thought he would have retired by now. I’d say 3 years. (he’s smart about his body and his life after football).
He’s probably got another 2 years in him. He purposefully doesn’t take hits and would rather slide with no contact if you’ve ever noticed
It might be his last year already or he might decide to continue for a few more if we’re close to a Super Bowl. But hits like the one last week will definitely factor into his decision.
A ring isn’t worth long term brain damage and he’s a smart guy with a future outside football around set up (Washington real estate is lucrative!)
Either way, I’m going to cry my little eyes out when he announces his retirement.
