My new laptop is running way slower than the old one, even though it's way better on paper.

Before I start this thread I have to mention that I’m far from being a tech expert. I used to work on an Asus Vivobook that had an Intel Celeron, 4GB of RAM and an Intel UHD Graphics 600. It was pretty slow so I decided to upgrade to a better laptop. I just bought an Asus Expertbook with an 11th gen I7, 16GB of RAM and an Intel Iris XE. Even though this one has better specs than the old one it runs way slower, does anyone know why this is the case?
